Well, it’s 68 degrees under cloudy skies. They say it’s gonna rain today, although it hasn’t yet—not that that means it won’t later on; it rained for about an hour or so last night and it wasn’t supposed to.
Today was pretty easy. 5B has an exam tomorrow and so I reviewed the chapter with them. I reread several pages from their books with them and afterwards I described the vocab words and had them try to guess which word it was.
With the fourth years, we continued talking about Memorial Day (well actually I explained a little more about the US Seal and they colored it while I looked for activities for Flag Day). Later we took a look at two more states: Maine and Louisiana.
We started a new unit in 1A—about picnics (mainly about food). They must not have been the mood today, because we didn’t get a whole lot accomplished—they keep talking, interrupting and getting up out of their seats. In the end we were able to go over the vocab and we listened to a song as well.
I was supposed to have class with Raúl today, but Paqui called a little while ago to ask if we could change it to tomorrow because he has an exam on Friday. So I have free now. What to do? Nap? Catch up on some Modern Family? Both?
Xoxo,
Court
