It’s 73 and partly cloudy at the moment. It’s supposed to be partly cloudy the whole day, but sometime between the time I got up this morning and when I left for Carmen’s, it rained a bit, as the streets were a bit wet. I’m not sure if it’ll rain this afternoon/evening; Carmen seemed to think it might though…

We had our normal chat and espresso this morning, except we spoke Spanish instead of English. A few weeks back I had told her I needed to practice my Spanish a bit more, not that I meant for us to speak it; I was talking more in a general sense. Since then, we’ve been speaking more a lot more Spanish—which I feel bad about because that’s not what she pays me for…although she still tries.

I ran to the store on the way home to pick up some more salad and apples. I made a salad for lunch, which I am currently enjoying! I chopped up some turkey and threw some corn in there and before I realized what I was doing, I’d put tuna on there also. I’ve never had turkey and tuna before, but it’s still really good! And, of course, I completed it with an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing…Spanish all the way…well except for the turkey, maybe!

With San Isidro being this weekend (well actually Sunday) I’m planning on going out to the country with Pilar for Romerías. Basically they are processions to honor San Isidro, the patron of farmers and peasants. So people have picnics and enjoy some time out in the country with family and friends. Only thing is, they’re calling for thunderstorms tomorrow, so that could put a damper on the festivities.

Xoxo,
Court
