¡FELIZ CINCO DE MAYO! Although it’s just another day here, I’m still celebrating it!

It’s another beautiful day—70 and sunny, with just a slight breeze and a few clouds. My weather thing says there are going to be thunderstorms, but at this point, there’s nothing stormy about the sky.

First hour was 2A. We looked at a picture from their books and I asked them a bunch of questions about it. For example, “What color is Emma’s shirt?” or “What sport is Cheeky Cat pointing to?” We played the much loved BINGO afterwards. They love the game but don’t completely understand the concept…they call BINGO they don’t have one and sometimes (as I saw) they don’t call it when they do. Silly kids!

For the majority of the time in 6B we worked out of their workbook—correcting and doing activities. I also read them a little section and asked them simple questions about it, which many of them didn’t understand.

We went to the adjacent video room in the infantil wing with five-years B. Espe wanted to show them a few videos on YouTube to practice colors and animals. Unfortunately, the laptop that’s supposed to be in there wasn’t, so she had to go look for it; that class is so out of control…so they pretty much ran wild while she was gone. Then there was the setting up time, so by the time everything was ready, we were only able to watch a couple videos for about ten minutes.

Sandra is sick today, so I left after that and ran to the store quick to buy some more cereal before coming home. I’m gonna rest up a bit before my classes this afternoon: Juan An/Carlos at four; Pilar at six and Raúl at eight (we had to change it from yesterday to today). Busy day ahead…

Xoxo,
Court
