Today it’s 72 degrees. As I’m looking out my window, I can’t see a cloud in the sky! It’s rather windy, but it’s not really hot nor cold, so I don’t mind it.
I was with Ángela’s class the whole first hour. After we did the usual, let’s get started activities, I reviewed letters, numbers, shapes, colors and animals with the class. Then they got restless and everyone wanted to go to the bathroom.
I didn’t do a whole lot in 5A. They were finishing posters on prehistory eras—Paleolithic, Neolithic and Metal Ages—so they were drawing and writing. Then at the end, all the kids asked me which I liked best and I said I liked all of them…of course!
We did this worksheet in 1B where they had to draw a monster with (I think it was) three heads, five arms, five hands, ten fingers, six legs and six feet. I was really surprised because many of them were concerned how to draw the actual monster. They kept erasing because they didn’t like how it looked (like the heads weren’t “circley” enough and things like that). They were supposed to color it also, but many didn’t have time for that.
With five-years A, we played this game with flashcards where they had to figure out which card was different within the group of four. Then we did this worksheet in which they had to match the words “apple” and “banana” with the picture in the middle. Later they drew the shape of the fruit around each word.
6A was taking the exam that 6C took yesterday, so I left school a bit early and went to the store to pick up some more bananas and shampoo. I have class with Pilar at six and since it’s only 3:15 now, I have time for a nap…I’m super tired!
Xoxo,
Court
