It’s another gorgeous day! 63, sunny and clear—not a cloud in the sky! It’s been really refreshing to have my window open so much!

I ended up going to mass this morning. I actually did try to go last night and got there at 6:20 and the doors were shut and locked. There was a group of older ladies standing by the door; it seemed as if they had intended on going too. As I was walking away, this car pulled up and asked if the church was open—so apparently no one (or not everyone) knew it was going to be closed.

So I went to this morning at 11:30 and of course saw all of my kids there. A few fifth level girls sat behind me and some of the sixth boys took part in the mass: saying a few welcoming words at the beginning, doing petitions and taking up the collection. It was kind of a longer mass, the homily was rather lengthy today; I didn’t get home until 12:42!

It’s three o’clock now and I’m gonna take a nap! I must admit that although I like going to mass on Sundays, because it gets me up and around (also it’s easier for me to understand the children’s mass!), but I always get sleepy from like 2-4ish (not that that’s different from a school day, I guess).
