2B came after that. I had talked to Francisco last Thursday about some activities and having class in the video room, but I went to his room just to make sure we were still on the same page. I could have sworn he said they were finishing copying some vocab and then they would come and that I was to go ahead to the room and make sure everything was prepared. Well, I waited and waited, but for one reason or another, the class never came…so I sat there for an hour.
3B, my least favorite class, was next. I had hoped that they would be able to change their behavior for once and I would be able to do the activities…fat chance! We got through the vocab and about half of the photos in 40 minutes. Lourdes had to interrupt literally about once every 20 seconds to yell at the class. It was a very long 40 minutes; I even stopped and sat down a couple of times to wait for the talking to cease and she took the class back ten minutes early because they wouldn’t stop talking/yelling.
After recreo, I had a free hour and then 5A. Since I have them twice a week (the only class I have twice), we just did regular activities today. Tomorrow we’ll talk about Thanksgiving. I went with the group of teachers to eat at Stone afterwards. First course I had this yummy soup that reminded me of chicken noodle with chucks of beef in it. Second course was either fried chicken wings or something very similar to it. Bottom line, it was good! For dessert I had vanilla pudding with cinnamon and a big Nilla wafer type of cookie…it was delish! (besides the fact that there was a little too much cinnamon and I kept coughing!).
At four o’clock, I went back to school with the rest of the teachers to finish preparing more activities. Aurora found this website that had so many coloring pages with connect the dots using letters and numbers. They’re perfect for like first and second grade! The age ranges are so varied that it took a couple of hours to talk with the teachers and decide on the most appropriate activities, but I’m just happy that we got everything squared away and finished!
Xoxo,
Court
