We got back from Ciudad Real about an hour ago and it went pretty much as I expected after talking with Arturo. The bus actually rolled in a few minutes before nine. Since it’s only about a seven-ish minute walk from one of the bus stops (not the actual station), we got to the police station about five after nine…appointment was at 9:30. There was a line out in front, but Will asked and that was for people who didn’t have an appointment, so we were able to walk right in! We waited maybe five minutes once inside and it went very quick after that. We submitted two photos each and got our right index fingers fingerprinted and that was it. The lady said we had to wait 25 days/after the first of the year before we could pick them up…one more trip, grrr. We were done by about 9:30; too bad we had to wait for the 12:03 train back to Socu. We walked straight to the train station after that (as we saw all there is to see the first time we went…which wasn’t much). We bought or tickets and sat in the train station for two long hours! Luckily, there is a café inside the station, so we waited part of the time in there and part of the time in the lobby.
The train was running about ten minutes behind schedule, so we pulled into Socu right around 2:30. Then, of course, there is the half hour walk home; it wasn’t bad really, since it’s not too cold today. I’m going to siesta now though. I got up at five for the bus, so I’m really tired. I tried to sleep a little on the train home, but you know how it is…I can’t believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I feel like we just celebrated Halloween and Christmas will be coming soon too! I’m not really feeling all Thanksgivingy though…Spain doesn’t have the vibe :(. Kinda wish I were going to be home…
Xoxo,
Court
