This afternoon it’s partly cloudy and 57 degrees.

It’s been a mostly lazy Sunday! I did make me some Oatmeal Scotchies (well, technically they’re not for me but that’s neither here nor there) though! I made them really big and only baked them for about nine minutes so they’re very gooey and chewy…my favorite kind of cookies! Hopefully everyone at school likes them; I think butterscotch it a foreign concept here, so we’ll see!

Note to self: The next time you are making cookies/baking in general don’t leave the butter on the heater for too long! (Our microwave doesn’t work anymore so I have been known to find a sunny spot or utilize a heater for a bit. It’s ok though, because I was right there and only had to wipe up a tiny puddle of butter! And I know one might say “why don’t you just leave it out overnight?” I DID! But when you have to mix everything up by hand, you need all the help you can get!)

Anyway, they turned out really well and I was able to get 32 rather large ones out of the batch…it says it’s supposed to yield 48, but really does anyone ever make them THAT small?
