HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!!! (Spain) Hope you have a great day, Dad…only ten days left!
It’s a pretty nice day; sunny with a few clouds and 55.
I basically ran Marilu’s classes this morning, whilst she went around and checked activities and helped some students. We talked about Easter. With 6A first hour we read a section from the book (that we did last week with the other class) and talked about Holy Week and Easter customs/traditions and compared those to Spain. In 6C we looked at this PowerPoint…essentially it was the Stations of the Cross and not Easter per sé. Later we played this game/took a quiz and answered questions about the PP.
I introduced some new vocab to 4A; modes of transportation, I guess you could call it—boat, helicopter, train, motorbike. That was it. They then copied the vocab in their notebooks several times.
Both three-year-old classes were a bit obnoxious today…loud, not paying attention, not listening, etc. I read them a story about Ellie and her Hat and the first class did a quick coloring worksheet (last hour didn’t have time) and then it was time to go—both Ana and I were glad to leave!
I’ve got class in about an hour with Javi and I’m not sure if Maribel and I are meeting tonight. I asked her Friday when I met with her son if we were and she said she’d call me and that hasn’t happened yet, so we’ll see. Oh and my Oatmeal Scotchies were well received today also!
Xoxo,
Court
