Well, again today it’s sunny and 55!
In 1A first hour Marina tried to drag out the daily review of numbers, body parts, the five senses and everything else they’ve learned so far because the lesson/worksheet for today took all of two seconds. Apparently she just likes to focus on a page a day so we didn’t move on to the next page. It was so simple: they had to put a checkmark next to one of two photos of the child sitting correctly and then they had to put three photos in order. We practiced/reviewed colors and saying how old we were for a good chunk of time after that.
In 3A and B I read them a couple of pages about how we classify animals; particularly herbi/carni/omnivores and viviparous/oviparous animals. I had no idea what the latter two were (viviparous = born live, oviparous = hatches from eggs), I was probably even pronouncing them wrong… After I read each section I asked them yes or no comprehension questions like “Is a rabbit a carnivore? Do herbivores eat plants?” In “B” we also reviewed the alphabet and that turned into almost everyone spelling their names or classroom objects.
Those were my only classes today. I went to infantil third hour and Pilar, the five-years B teacher, told me Ana was at the dentist. So, I went and looked for Christmas activities. Then during recreo I asked Analen what the plan was for 4B and she said they had a lot of notes to take so she o.k.’d me skipping out to continue to look for activities…I was kinda in the zone!
I stopped at the store on my way home. Last night I dropped and cracked open my almost brand new bottle of mouthwash (I was so annoyed with myself!) so of course I had to buy more—I hate not having it! I’ll have to be more careful…mouthwash here is really expensive!
Xoxo,
Court
