It’s a mild 52 degrees this afternoon! The forecast for the next few days looks to be about the same; I hope it only gets warmer from here on out!

As usual, it’s been a low key weekend; not up to a whole lot so far. I went to movie night on Friday and we watched Mary and Max. Never heard of it? I hadn’t either. It’s a 2009 animated drama (I guess you could call it) starting in 1976 about this little Australian girl and her 20ish year pen pal friendship with a forty-something American man. It says it’s based on a true story but the only part of it that’s true is that the director (an Australian male) had an American pen pal when he was younger. The plot and letters themselves were made up…that’s not exactly my idea of a true story…

There were a total of six of us at the movie and besides me, they were all kids. I don’t know if people were busy because Carnaval is starting, but there usually are several adults there as well. I don’t think Eloy was too psyched about the turnout, especially the younger audience; I know he likes to discuss afterwards and the kids just didn’t have the same English level…it was mostly me and the next oldest person (high school student) who did the talking.

No school tomorrow or Tuesday for Carnaval…oh what to do??
