Today marks one month that I’ve been back in Spain! You know, it actually seems longer than that…is that good or bad?

It’s 61 degrees and partly cloudy at the moment and it’s not raining, so that’s a plus! I went out this morning to get my picture taken to renew my NIE and it was kind of misting/spitting a bit…I hope my hair doesn’t look to terrible, but I’ll have to wait and see. I must have been his first customer of the day because he took my picture and then asked me to come back this afternoon to pick them up because his machine wasn’t on and had to warm up. So, I have to go back at seven to pick them up.

Afterwards, I went to the market with Gunita and Teo to get some eggs and just to sorta check things out, since I haven’t gone since I’ve been back. It was a little farther out this week because of the all the rides and food booths they’re setting up for Feria. I bought some tomatoes and whole pears (which I don’t think I’ve ever eaten before, but I heard they’re high in fiber!)

I was on my way to getting the eggs, but then Carmen called to see if we could meet. And since I hadn’t seen her yet, I left without the eggs and went to meet her at a nearby café for some cañas. It was good to see her! We talked for about an hour about the summer and our jobs and just some other random things! We also talked about my helping her with her classes, maybe like once a month or something like that. She’s not very good with pronunciation (or so she says!) and that’s definitely something I can help with, so hopefully we can make it work!

I then went back to the market for the eggs and came home. It’s kinda chilly in the apartment right now; my hands are freezing! I think I’m going to have some hot chocolate and then do a little exercise…that should warm me up!

Xoxo,
Court
