Today it’s a beautiful and clear 54 degrees; the wind isn’t even that bad!
First hour after doing the usual review to start off the day with 1A, we made a picture list with flashcards of foods that come from plants and animals. Then on their worksheet they were shown pictures of food and had to circle the plant based foods with green and the animal based ones with red. That was easy because they had the lists to look off of on the board. Down on the bottom they then had to draw their three favorite foods and write where they come from.

Second and last hours I had the third levels. I read to them about invertebrate insects and nasty creepy crawlies. To get practice with pronunciation, I would stop every sentence and have a different student repeat. After we read they took notes over the page.

To five-years B I read an Ellie story about carnival (which is in a little less than a month). Monkey was a police officer, Mouse was a pirate and Ellie was a ghost and scared everyone! After I read it we watched it on the computer.

I literally sat in 4B and silently stared at the wall the entire hour while Analen corrected a few activities with the class and had them translate some sentences. This one kid was like “Corni, say something, you’ve been quiet the entire hour.” I looked at him, said “no” and said nothing else. I still don’t know why Aurora said I have to go to that class. Last year I had a free hour, but apparently that’s not an option this year…

I don’t have class today, so I’m going to make the cookies pretty soon. I was going to mix them up yesterday but the butter was super hard, so I didn’t. I left it out overnight and stuck it in my room this morning where the sun always shines in and now it’s nice and soft! It’s just so hard to work with things like butter if it’s not at room temp since I have to mix everything up by hand!  I hope they turn out well!!!

Xoxo,
Court
